Even Babar Azam's batting could not save Karachi Kings from their sixth defeat

 In the 19th match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshawar Zalmai defeated Karachi Kings by 55 runs.


Karachi Kings were bowled out for 138 in pursuit of the 194-run target in a match played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on Sunday.

Karachi Kings captain Babar Azam scored 59 runs on the ball of Salman Arshad LW and Joe Clarke scored 26 runs off 26 balls.

Sharjeel Khan, the first player of Karachi Kings, scored 14 runs and was caught by Ben Cutting on the ball of Salman Arshad.

 Hazratullah Zazai of Peshawar Zalmi scored 52 runs while Muhammad Haris scored 49 runs. Shoaib Malik of Peshawar Zalmi scored 31 runs and got out on the ball of Chris Jordan. Haider Ali and Ahmed Butt remained unbeaten on one and two runs respectively.

While bowling against Karachi Kings, Chris Jordan took three wickets while Mohammad Nabi, Qasim Akram and Ameed Asif took one wicket each.

So far in the seventh edition of PSL, the performance of both Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi teams has not been special.

However, Peshawar Zalmi's performance has been better than that of Karachi Kings.

Peshawar Zalmi has played seven matches so far and is fifth in the points table after winning three of them.

Karachi Kings remained in very difficult conditions in PSL Seven. Karachi Kings have played six matches so far and have not been successful in any of them.
