Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has called on PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at their residence.
PML-N leaders Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Tanveer, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Ataullah Tarar and Shabir Usmani were also present in the meeting held in Lahore on Sunday.
The meeting discussed in detail the current political situation in the country, among other issues of mutual interest.
Mian Shahbaz Sharif on behalf of himself and Nawaz Sharif sought the well-being of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and wished him a speedy recovery.
On this occasion, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain also thanked Nawaz Sharif.
It may be recalled that on Monday, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had met the PML-Q leadership, after which there were rumors about political change in the country.
The day after the meeting, PML-Q spokesperson Senator Kamil Ali Agha had said that PML-Q was with the ruling party PTI. Asif Ali Zardari had brought his agenda which was rejected.
Talking to Shahzeb Khanzada on Geo News today, Kamil Ali Agha said, "As long as the state stands with the government, we are with them."
In response to a question that some people say that the Establishment has become neutral, Kamil Ali Agha said, "When the Establishment becomes neutral, it is not a good thing for the government."
Earlier this week, a meeting of the PML-N's working committee was held in Lahore on Monday in which Nawaz Sharif was given the authority to take all constitutional and legal steps to remove the present government.
On Tuesday, a high-level delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Moment, another ally of the government, led by Aamir Khan, met Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore.
Debate over possible political change has resumed after opposition parties stepped up contacts with each other and government allies and the government launched a mass mobilization campaign.
